Perhaps the title of these picks should've been called "iced mocha" since I've grown a new obsession with them from this cool local shop I've discovered. Or maybe "your favourite things from Madewell" would've been better, no? Anyhow, here's a first collection of picks for your Monday. I figured this will make your "case of the Mondays" lighter (you're very welcome). Now treat yourself to an iced mocha, or a café au lait depending on what the weather's like wherever you may be.

Daily Discoveries

I don't know about you guys, but this week flew by pretty quickly! I've been preoccupied with lots of wedding planning. Some days go smoother than others but it's all a learning process. It's been such a treat being in the same city as Garrett - we get to see each other after he gets off work and go out for evening walks after dinner. It seems so odd to us since we've been in a long distance relationship for so long but we're not complaining! I also love that this city's beauty captures my attention from every street corner. I hope to snap more photos to share here with you.

Garrett and I don't really have plans for this weekend, but we'll be out and about discovering new places for sure! What are some of your plans?

The Kinsol Trestle

During the Neighbourhood Feast, we met a guy who suggested that we check out the Kinsol Trestle on our way to Nanaimo. So we looked into it and so glad we made a detour! The line was started in 1911 but abandoned in the 1980's; in fact the last train to cross the Kinsol was in 1979! Pretty neat, huh?!
